A trip - mountain? weekend? family? An interactive website www.wbu.wroc.pl presents in a friendly manner all the necessary information required to choose an appropriate route for your cycling trip. This is an incredible opportunity to actively learn about European heritage because the cycling routes run through the Way of Saint James - a cultural Trail in Europe.

Way of St. James (Camino de Santiago) is a European network of pilgrimage routes leading to the shrine of Santiago de Compostela in north-western Spain - the resting place of St. James the Apostle. Since the 9th century the tomb of Saint James has been one of three major Christian pilgrimage centres, next to Jerusalem and Rome. Currently Camino is once again experiencing prosperity, gathering numerous pilgrims on route coming from various parts of Europe who by a way of hiking, horseback and cycling all head for Santiago de Compostela. A beacon for all pilgrims is a white or yellow scallop shell, usually against a blue background - a symbol of Saint James. The Lower Silesian shell is additionally enriched with a red cross.
